To know oneself is to observe what one thinks, how one feels, not just superficially, but to be deeply aware of what is without condemnation, without judgment, without evaluation or comparison. Try it and you will see how extraordinarily difficult it is for a mind that has been trained for centuries to compare, to condemn, to judge, to evaluate, to stop that whole process and simply to observe what is; but unless this takes place, not only at the superficial level, but right through the whole content of consciousness, there can be no delving into the profundity of the mind."

What an awesome accomplishment. Tony Mendez is indeed a radient spirit. With deep gratitude I lift my arms high, place my hands together, and applaude Tony' Mendez. He is a gift to humanity, not only as an individual and his exceptional gift of music, but through his divine spirit within as well.
2. Counting our blessings
Such a remarkable man and story you bring to us Divine Earth ~ Bless Tony Melendez for his lifelong struggle to overcome his birth condition ..Tony shows us his birth mission in life is to show others how grateful people should be and not take anything for granted - even the fact of being born with two arms is a blessing ~
His story of his father's guitar hit a personal tender note within me for I remember my father's steel guitar and how I loved to hold it ~ But Tony's ability to play guitar with his feet and sing with such tenderness of heart is so moving beyond words ~
Bravo and also bless his loving family - In the words of his late father "You have to learn to do it on your own."
From his pain his spirit flows with the divine love of our creator ~ and through his songs his mission is fulfilled as he shares his gift with the world ~

WOWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!
Such a beautiful n' powerfully uplifting story u share w/ us today DivineEarth -- The story of "El musico sin manos" -- Tony Melendez -- who with undying faith in himself and "En Dios" - overcame all.....rising up to become one of the most inspirational musicians alive today.....Bringing with him.....a sacred gift -- A gift of song..... -- to touch people's hearts and souls w/ his music and his humbling presence ~
Tony's heartfelt story moves me to tears inside -- tears of hope, joy, pain -- for to see a blessed individual.....who despite being born with no arms......did not extinguish the flames of passion he had for life....and his passion for music which he loves so much -- He overcame life's most difficult times.....even dealing with getting picked on constantly, those few who did not understand ~ (this for me......I feel deeply within my inner heart)......His love for music was so great......He honed his skills, playin' guitarra with his own two feet -- practicin' without fail......strumming with delight as he sang his heart out -- touchin' da lives of many to have listened to his beautiful singing n' playin' --- and touched by his radiant spirit ~ (Even Pope John Paul II -- who heard him play live -- blessed him and embraced his warm tender spirit) ~ SIMPLY AMAZING ~
As Coralinni shares --- his unique mission in life -- to show how grateful we should be and NEVER take what we have for granted EVER ~ We must always remember.......ALL WE HAVE --- Is a sacred blessing from the Divine ~
For me --- Melendez' story impacts me especially --- as a fellow guitarrista --- (im sure his story has touched Joh as well...."estoy cierto!") ~ Since each have their own musical heroes and influences.....too many to name all -- To see Tony......do what he does.....usin' a pick n' strummin' chords w/ his feet with a unique alternate tuning (tuned to "Open G" -- makin' it possible to play chords in "barre" form) ---- it blows me away.....and a humbling n' inspiring sight to me ~
His story shows.....with lots of faith.....any ostacle can be overcome - anything is possible ~ BLESS HIM ALWAYS ~
~ Peace, Love, Joy ~
